Shockwave visited the 2011 Bellarmine Spirit Rally, shooting the head off of a cardboard cut-out of Bellarmine’s rival, the lancer.

July 13, 2011 – TEDx San Jose

Shockwave visited TEDx, a locally organized TED event, and shot event t-shirts off of the stage into the cheering crowd.

April 30, 2011 – FIRST World Championship

During the FIRST World Championship, Shockwave was on hand with sponsor BAE Systems, shooting shirts into the crowd between matches.

April 16, 2011 – VEX World Championship

During the Finals of the VEX world championship in Orlando, Florida, to promote our team and to surprise and awe the crowd we unleashed our T-shirt cannon, everyone’s excitement and interest about its capabilities mounted as we began to fire T-shirts.

April 2, 2011 - Shockwave Wins the Abbott Invention Hall of Fame Award

Shockwave, a promotional t-shirt shooting robot, was awarded the Abbott Invention Hall of Fame Award at the 2011 FIRST Silicon Valley Regional after shooting BAE systems t-shirts to the crowd.

January 15, 2011 – Bellarmine VEX Tournament

Shockwave shot Team 254 t-shirts off the stage during breaks between finals matches at the 2011 Bellarmine VEX Tournament.

Winter 2010 – Santa Clara University Basketball Games

Shockwave visited several basketball games at Santa Clara University, shooting Broncos shirts into the crowd during time outs.

October 28, 2010 – Public Online Debut

Shockwave made a quick online debut. Within a day of being posted publicly, it hit the press with numerous tech websites blogging about Team 254′s creation. Within a week, hundreds of websites and news publications had posted about Shockwave, the amazing T-Shirt shooting robot.

October 16, 2010 – San Jose Sharks Street Rally

Team 254′s T-Shirt Cannon made an appearance in San Jose today at a Street Rally for the San Jose Sharks, a professional hockey team.  The Sharks play their first home game today against the Atlanta Thrashers and celebrated the occasion with a pre-game street rally.

The rally was a ton of fun and the robot was quite popular.

October 7, 2010 – Bellarmine Spirit Rally

The T-Shirt Cannon made its debut tonight at the Bellarmine Spirit Rally. Set before the school’s football game against its rival, St. Francis of Mountain View, the rally aims to boost school spirit and morale before the game. The T-Shirt Cannon came out in the middle of the rally and shot 30 T-Shirts at students stationed across the gym. The students aimed to catch the T-Shirts in trash cans in order to win spirit points.

The rally was a great success and the T-Shirt Cannon was a huge hit!
